Today is the last day to register for the AIBA Women’s Youth World Boxing Championships

Please be informed that today is the last day to register your boxers for the AIBA Women’s Youth World Boxing Championships, which will be held in Guwahati, India in November 21-30. The event will be the first qualification event for the women youth boxers for the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
The Asian Boxing Confederation is proud of the fact the next AIBA Women’s Youth World Boxing Championships will be held in our continent once again after the Taipei 2015 edition. The Boxing Federation of India is very active in the international boxing map and their management is planning to host several big events after the AIBA Women’s Youth World Boxing Championships.
The event will be the second AIBA championship this year after the Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships which was held for the men’s elite boxers and Asia achieved record number of 15 medals. Asia topped the No.1 position at the very first time in the men’s elite level among the continents.
Boxers who were born in 1999 and in 2000 are eligible to compete in India in the 10 official women’s youth weight classes: 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 64kg, 69kg, 75kg, 81kg and +81kg. The AIBA Women’s Youth World Boxing Championships will be held by 3×3 minutes contests according to the new AIBA rules.
The best boxers in the four Youth Olympic Games weight classes, who were born in 2000, will be qualified automatically for the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games. Following this first chance to our continent’s best women’s youth talents, the second qualification event will be the 2018 ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships.
