The President of the Syrian Arab Boxing Association Mr. Mohamed Kamel Shbib increased the country’s activities in November

The Syrian Arab Boxing Association is planning to conclude high number of events in the month of November. The President of the Syrian Arab Boxing Association Mr. Mohamed Kamel Shbib increased all of the activities, seminars, national events and training camps to get better results and build up a new generation of boxers in the country which has got excellent history.

The Syrians returned to their national training center still in summer period on June and their boxers have been preparing hard to the upcoming goals. Their management hosted two national events in the recent months, focuses to the youth age group and plans further sparring competitions and events for the younger boxers.

The Syrian Arab Boxing Association hosted its first National Test Sparring Event in Damascus on July which is part of the series of their competitions. Some of their top stars had to miss the July event but the next generation of the Syrian boxers shined in the opening national event. After the quarantine, the first Test Sparring Event in the country supported the preparation of their boxers.

Their second national event was held in September when 39 of their best elite and youth boxers attended in the top competition. The competition venue of the Syrian National Test Sparring Event was the Boxing Hall of the Alfeayhaa Sport Complex in their capital city where several of their new youth boxers proved strong developments.

Their current national training camp will be running until 4th of November and after that the boxers can rest a bit before their next goals. The national training camp to be continued from 14th of November which will be the direct preparation for the next event. The date of their next Syrian National Test Sparring Event scheduled in November 22-25.

The Syrian Arab Boxing Association will be hosting also a Coaches Seminar in the city of Daraa in the first part of November with the participation of 23 new coaches. Russia’s Kazan will be hosting a training camp and five of their top elite and five youth boxers will be representing Syria in that preparation event.

Their first focus is on the upcoming World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event which is planning to be held on May 2021. Their longer-term targets are to reach the same strong results in the upcoming years especially in the 2022 Asian Games and in the Qualifiers of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
