The head coach of the Iranian youth national team Mr. Reza Mahdipour invited 20 talents to the training camp to Sanandaj

The Iranian youth national team began its preparation to the upcoming international competitions in Sanandaj city in Kurdistan province on October 10. The team has been preparing to the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships which is planning to be hosted in Kielce, Poland on April 10-24 next year.

The training camp has begun with safety and medical protocols to avoid any new Covid-19 cases during the preparations. The head coach of the Iranian youth national team Mr. Reza Mahdipour has been invited 20 boxers to the training camp to Sanandaj. Boxers who were born in 2002 and in 2003 are eligible to attend in the Iranian youth national training camp. Many of the invited boxers were born in 2003 and worked with Mr. Reza Mahdipour as juniors one year ago.

Mr. Reza Mahdipour was the coach of the Iranian national team at the Bangkok 2017 ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships, at the Kuwait City 2019 ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships and at the Fujairah 2019 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships where the Iranians claimed medals. Iran sent ten strong boxers to the Fujairah 2019 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships and among them one talent claimed bronze medal in the continental event.

Farhad Moradi Atashgah is the most experienced boxer in the Iranian youth national team who competed already in the Puerto Princesa 2017 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships. The 18-year-old welterweight (69kg) talented boxer attended also in the Ulaanbaatar 2019 ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships and several other events in the recent three years.

Mostafa Rigi won the light flyweight (49kg) in the 2019 Iranian Youth National Championships and competed at the Ulaanbaatar 2019 ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships. Amir Bayati was the champion of the flyweight (52kg) in the last edition of the Iranian Youth National Championships and he was invited to the joint preparations.

Ramin Babaloo was also member of the Iranian national team at the Ulaanbaatar 2019 ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships where he competed at the bantamweight (56kg). Seyyed Mohammad Ali Ardebili was quarter-finalist at the heavyweight (91kg) in the Ulaanbaatar 2019 ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships. 

Amir Reza Shekari achieved silver at the light welterweight (64kg) in the 2019 Iranian Youth National Championships and he was involved to the training camp. Shekari, who reached the quarter-finals in the Ulaanbaatar 2019 ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships, was born in 2002 which means he can still strengthen the age group.

Mohammad Parsi achieved bronze medal at the bantamweight (54kg) in the Fujairah 2019 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships and following that performance he was invited to attend in the training camp. Pouria Saeidi, Amir Hossein Orjalizadeh, Alireza Shabanzadeh, Mohammadreza Jabinsa, Abolfazl Faridi, Arian Radmehr and Habib Pourkan all were gold medallists in the 2019 Iranian Junior National Championships and joined to the youth national training camp.
