The China Belt & Road Tournament for the elite women and men boxers will be held in Shanghai on June 2-9

A strong competition, the China Belt & Road International Boxing Tournament will be held in Shanghai on June 2-9 and the registrations are available to all National Federations. The competition will be one of the highlights in the month of June and to be held for the women’s and men’s elite boxers.
Shanghai hosted the 1993 East Asian Games but since then the city was not able to welcome international boxing events. The registrations for the China Belt & Road International Tournament are open for all NFs until April 20.
The women boxers will be able to attend in five weight classes while the men’s event is scheduled to be held in ten categories. The gold, silver and bronze medallist will be received money prizes in the China Belt & Road International Boxing Tournament in Shanghai.
The first edition of the event was held in November 2018 after the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships. The first historical Belt & Road China-Asean Boxing Championships took place in Nanning City in Guangxi, China. Thailand’s Asian Games bronze medallist Rujakran Juntrong, China’s teenage talent Zhao Renxue and Indonesia’s experienced Kornelis Kwangu Langu were also among the gold medallists in Nanning City.
Host China, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand attended in the Belt & Road China-Asean Boxing Championships in 2018. The competition was held to promote boxing in the ASEAN region and give chance to the area’s women and men elite boxers to raise their international experiences but the new 2019 edition are opened to worldwide.

Gold medal: 1000 USD each
Silver medal: 500 USD each
Bronze medal: 300 USD each
