The 2nd edition of the Indian Open International Boxing Tournament was postponed to May

The second edition of the strong Indian Open International Boxing Tournament was planning to be held for the elite women and men boxers in the city of Guwahati, Assam in February 5-9 but Boxing Federation of India decided to postpone the event.
The new date of the 2nd Indian Open International Boxing Tournament will be scheduled on May and the exact dates are planning to be informed ASBC and the National Federations in the upcoming weeks.
The city of Guwahati hosted the 2017 edition of the AIBA Women’s Youth World Boxing Championships 13 months ago where India earned record number of five gold medals. Guwahati is the host again in a top international competition and Assam region’s biggest city is ready to welcome Asia’s top boxers on May.
The first edition of the Indian Open International Boxing Tournament was held in New Delhi in January 2018 which was a preparation event for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. Altogether 18 champions have been crowned in the historical first edition in New Delhi. India achieved eight gold medals in the tournament but Uzbekistan was able to get also five titles in the Open Tournament where several surprises were delivered by young future hopes one year ago.
