Shokhr Boltekuly tourney kicks off August 29 in Kazakhstan

The 14th Shokhr Boltekuly Memorial Tournament is set to be held from August 29 to September 4 in Aktau, Kazakhstan, with the men’s elite event serving as a selection and preparation for the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in October.

Organized by the Boxing Federation of the Mangystau Region, the traditional international tilt will feature all 13 weight divisions.

Top boxers from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are expected to join the tourney named after the iconic Kazakh coach Shokhr Boltekuly who was one of the pioneers of the sweet science in the Central Asian country.
