New winners in the Hong Kong National Boxing Championships

The Hong Kong Boxing Association is planning to be host the 3rd edition of the Hong Kong City Box Cup in January which will be the first Asian event in the international boxing map in 2017 but firstly they hosted their National Elite Boxing Championships in the Southorn Stadium in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Boxing Association gave chance for their best boxers to raise their experiences in the competition and after also in the international Hong Kong City Cup. Host of the competition Hong Kong could not get any gold medals on home soil in the last edition of the Hong Kong City Cup in 2016 but their boxers could raise their international experiences. The country is planning to do it better in January and their new national champions all will be there in the international competition as well.
Lee Kong Ching claimed the first gold medal in the Hong Kong National Boxing Championships in the Southorn Stadium. He attended in the last two editions of the Hong Kong City Cup as well and since then he moved up to the lightweight (60kg). Hong Kong’s 19-year-old talent defeated his rivals in the national event and he is planning to compete also in the main competitions in 2017.
Lui Chun Yin won the second category in the National Championships the light welterweight (64kg) in the Southorn Stadium in spite of the fact he was one of the most inexperienced boxer in this category he earned the gold medal. Lui is also expecting to get good result in the upcoming Hong Kong City Box Cup which will be his first international competition.
So Po Sang was amazing in the most difficult category of the Hong Kong National Boxing Championships but he was able to win the welterweight (69kg). He claimed bronze medal in the last edition of the Hong Kong City Cup at the light welterweight (64kg) and his change was successful in the national event.
Leong Wing Yiu is a newcomer in the sport but his great efforts in the training paid off in the Hong Kong National Boxing Championships. The middleweight (75kg) boxer competed in the Taipei City Cup previously and his international experiences were enough to win his first ever national title in the Southorn Stadium.
