“The ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships carried out for me as Observer high standard, organizing by the Asian Boxing Confederation and the Jordan Local Organizing Committee. I boxed as a junior in the 1980s so I know how it feels to compete in this age group.

The boxing in the junior age group was fantastic, I recognized dozens of young talents from several countries. Uzbekistan were dominant but other nations such as Kazakhstan, India, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, Jordan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Philippines, Iraq, Iran and further countries showed great skills and progress in Amman.

Many of the contests were very close as boxers had huge motivation to win their fights in Amman. I believe that we could arrange neutrality and fair play during the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships, all decisions were perfect in the event.

The event created by ASBC and the LOC gave chance to these young people to show their boxing knowledge and skills in Amman. The coaches and all delegation members should be proud of the boxers does not matter who won or lost in the event. Following this event, I am sure about the future of boxing in Asia is bright and I am expecting great success from them.

The Asian Boxing Confederation showed the future of boxing is definitely here and once again proved strong commitment to the sport. The Technical Delegate of the competition Mrs. Karina Picson led a great ITO team in Amman which guaranteed the highest level of boxing.

Our ringside doctors supported the safety of the event and I believe all of the R&Js improved in this competition. My R&J Evaluators as Lenny D’Gama and Zoltan Szalma hold seminars before each session and the referees improved day by day,” added Mr. Andrew Caulfield after the competition.
