Macau Boxing Association will be organizing a Physical Fitness and Shadowboxing Challenge on August 28-29

The Macau Boxing Association will be arranging a Physical Fitness and Shadowboxing Challenge on August 28-29 this year to inspire its boxing community. The program will be test for their boxers without any contacts in Macau and let the athletes to have a special platform to do healthy exercises and keep themselves fit.

Sprint running races in 100m and 400 distances and standing long jump events are the plans for the opening day of the Macau Physical Fitness and Shadowboxing Challenge on August 28. Rope skipping, push up, 20m shuttle run and shadowboxing are in the schedule of the second day of the challenge on August 29. The best three athletes will be received medals and cash prizes from the Macau Boxing Association.

Macau Boxing Association was planned to host the Macau Open Boxing Championships on August but it was postponed to a later date when all safety environments will be allowed to host international events. China and Hong Kong are planning to be invited to the forthcoming Macau Open Boxing Championships.

The Covid-19 Coronavirus affects all of the Asian countries but in Macau the country fought successfully against the virus and their Boxing Association is ready to continue their strategic plans and activities.  

The Macau Boxing Association installed a new boxing ring to their venue and ordered new 10-points scoring systems for future events especially for the Macau Open Boxing Championships. Mr. Billy Vong is Macau’s well-known international official who is responsible for all of the necessary arrangements and organizations of the event.

The Macau Boxing Association will be organizing also summer courses for youth and children in order to promote boxing in the younger generations during their Summer holidays. The organization of the boxing courses will be supported by the Macau Sport Bureau together with the Macau Boxing Association.
