Kazakhstan earned seven male gold medals at the 5th Junior Nations Cup

The 5th edition of the Junior Nations Cup was held in Vrbas, Serbia where five competition days are concluded. Following the female finals, the thirteen male title contests were on the official program of the last competition day. Kazakhstan impressed in the event and their junior talents earned seven out of the thirteen male gold medals in the international tournament.  

Boxers who were born in 2005 and in 2006 were eligible to attend in the 5th Junior Nations Cup in Vrbas, Serbia. The event was a preparation event for the Kazakh talents before the upcoming ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships. The head coach of the Kazakh junior national team used the event also as selection between their best boxers.

Altogether 109 boxers from 16 nations attended in the 5th Junior Nations Cup in Serbia, Vrbas. The following nations sent young boxers to the international event: Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia and the United States.

Aidar Kadyrkhan is a 15-year-old talent from the Shymkent region who had to meet with his main national rival, Pavel Tokarev in the final of the light flyweight (48kg) in Vrbas. Kadyrkhan used the best tempo and tactic in their final contest therefore after the last gong, his hand was raised.

Torekhan Sabyrkhan was born in 2006 and he is a fantastic talent which he proved against Romania’s Alexandru Florin Gindac in the final of the light bantamweight (52kg). The referee stopped the contest and confirmed Sabyrkhan’s RSC triumph in the second round of the final. Mangystau region’s Adaybek Niyazbay was too smart for Bulgaria’s Viktorio Iliev at the bantamweight (54kg).

Turkestan region’s ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships bronze medallist Bakhtiyar Anarbayev defeated his teammate Yerassyl Mustafinov at the featherweight (57kg) and continued his winning path. Karagandy region’s Madiyar Taipakov also met with a national rival in the final of the lightweight (60kg), Yersultan Tolegen but he managed to win that difficult contest.

Karagandy region’s Islam Sovetov had a few difficulties in the first round against Serbia’s Milan Stanojevic in the final of the welterweight (66kg) but the 16-year-old talent increased his rhythm in the second period. The Serbian ringside abandoned their final contest in the second round following Sovetov’s heavy punches therefore he claimed Kazakhstan’s sixth gold medal in Vrbas.

Akmola region’s ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships silver medallist Viktor Litvinov spent short time in the ring against Romania’s Eduard Marian Musat. The Romanian ringside abandoned the contest still in the first round therefore Junior National Champion Litvinov won the light middleweight (70kg) in Vrbas. Mangystau region’s 15-year-old Zhandarbek Izbasarov (46kg), Yunus Shakarov (50kg), Almaty region’s ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships bronze medallist Zhasulan Abdolda (63kg) and Aktobe region’s Daulet Tulemisov (75kg) also advanced to the finals of the 5th Junior Nations Cup and claimed silver medals.
