The upcoming Tajikistan National Spartakyad will be held for their elite boxers in June 26-29

The Tajikistan Boxing Federation’s first big event this year will be held for their elite female and male boxers in Dushanbe in June 26-29. The name of the event is the Tajikistan National Spartakyad and all of the regions are expected to send their best boxers to the multisport competition to Dushanbe.

Boxers who were born in 1981 and in 2002 are eligible to attend in the Tajikistan National Spartakyad in Dushanbe. The national event will be their next selection before the AIBA World Boxing Championships which is scheduled to be held in Belgrade, Serbia between 26 October and 6 November.

Tajikistan claimed four bronze medals in the last edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Dubai, United Arab Emirates where two of their girls and boys succeeded. Tajikistan qualified two boxers for the Tokyo Olympic Games, Bangkok 2019 ASBC Asian Champion Bakhodur Usmonov (63kg) and FISU University World Champion Shabbos Negmatulloev (81kg).

Tajikistan’s four best women boxers as Sumaiya Kosimova (51kg), Rukhafzo Khaknazarova (54kg), Mizhgona Samadova (57kg) and Shoira Zulkaynarova (60kg) competed at the Dubai 2021 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships. Among them Samadova and Zulkaynarova claimed bronze medals and both are planning to attend also in the National Spartakyad.

AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships quarter-finalist Nilufar Boboyorova and ASBC Asian Youth Championships silver medallist 21-year-old Idimokh Kholova missed the continental event in Dubai but both boxers are ready to win their weight categories in the National Spartakyad. Tajikistan Boxing Federation could host all of their National Championships in 2020, their elite, youth, junior and schoolboy boxers competed for the medals in their homeland despite of the difficulties. Their male talents, the next generation could be shine in the National Spartakyad including two-time Youth National Champion Voris Makhmudov (56kg), Abdurakhmon Yokubov (60kg), Abdumalik Boltayev (75kg), Akhmadjon Saidov (81kg) and Davlat Boltayev (91kg).
