Hero of Day1 in Bangkok – Mongolia’s Mungunsaran Balsan

The Asian Boxing Confederation’s new project the Hero of the Day will be published after each competition day during the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships. The first winner is Mongolia’s super talented Mungunsaran Balsan who moved up to the women’s flyweight (51kg) only in the recent months but her skills were enough to eliminate a gold medal contender, China’s Wang Yan in Bangkok on Day1.
Mungunsaran Balsan was born in the Orkhon Aimag on February 3 in 2000 and began her boxing career at the age of 12 in 2012. Following her national titles she claimed bronze medal in the Children of Asia Games in Yakutsk two years ago. She competed in the Guwahati 2017 AIBA Women’s Youth World Boxing Championships and following her youth national title this year she was selected to take part in Bangkok where she opened her campaign with a superb success against a high-ranked rival.
