ASBC Asian Youth Champion Nuradin Rustambek Uulu dominated his first contest at the Kyrgyz Elite National Championships

Altogether 32 bouts were held in the second competition day at the Elite National Boxing Championships of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek. Kyrgyzstan’s first ever ASBC Asian Youth Champion Nuradin Rustambek Uulu joined to the elite age group this year and opened his campaign in Bishkek with a nice success on Day2.

Kyrgyzstan’s Elite National Boxing Championships will be a selection tournament for the World Olympic Boxing Qualification Event which is scheduled to be held on June 2021. The Kyrgyz Boxing Federation arranged live online coverage during the event and the venue of the National Championships is also excellent in Bishkek.

The number of the participants is 120 including eight girls and fourteen champions will be crowned in the Kyrgyz National Championships in the end of the week. The most popular category is the welterweight (69kg) where 18 boxers are fighting for the medals but the light welterweight (63kg) have got also tough battles.

Zhakshylyk Tilek Uulu is Kyrgyzstan’s best youth boxer at the men’s flyweight (52kg) who opened his campaign in the preliminary stage of the National Championships against Osh’s Argen Kabylov. The 18-year-old talent has got excellent technical skills which he introduced in his first contest in Bishkek against his regional rival. Tilek Uulu advanced to the quarter-finals where his next opponent will be ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships competitor Nurseit Ashirmamatov of Chui region.

Osh’s Munarbek Seyitbek Uulu has been attending in the international stage since 2014 and he had enough experiences to beat a younger rival, Chui region’s Ramil Ibragimov in the quarter-finals of the featherweight (57kg). The 24-year-old boxer will be meeting in the last four with his main rival, Bishkek’s Sanzhar Seidakmatov who is still unbeaten this year and amazed the Kyrgyz coaches in the previous events.

Dzhalal-Abad region’s Nuradin Rustambek Uulu has done a historical success for Kyrgyzstan at the Ulaanbaatar 2019 ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships where he earned his nation’s first ever Asian youth title. The 19-year-old super talented boxer was too smart for Bishkek’s Suyorbek Nasirov and marched into the quarter-finals of the welterweight (69kg). His next opponent will be Kanat Aralbekov of Bishkek who bowed out Stanbek Almazbekov in a tight contest.

ASBC Asian Boxing Championships quarter-finalist Omurbek Bekzhigit Uulu is a native talent in our sport, he reached the level of the national team after four years in the sport. The 20-year-old boxer won the title of the light heavyweight (81kg) at the Bishkek Open Boxing Championships a few weeks ago but he moved back to the middleweight (75kg). Bekzhigit Uulu eliminated Osh region’s Shokhrukh Beknazarov in the preliminary round and will be meeting with Bishkek’s teenager Begaly Abdurasul Uulu.
