1st Elorda Cup fires off on June 28 in Kazakhstan

The Kazakhstan Boxing Federation will host the inaugural edition of the Elorda Cup, an Asian international boxing tournament, from June 28 to July 5 in the capital city of Nur-Sultan (formerly known as Astana).

Replacing the Republic of Kazakhstan President’s Cup, the Elorda Cup will serve as a preparatory tournament for much bigger competitions such as the Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC) Asian Elite Boxing Championships.

The competition will feature 12 women weight divisions starting from minimumweight (48kg) to heavyweight (+81kg) and 13 men weight classes beginning with minimumweight (48kg) to super heavyweight (+92kg).

All national federations can send their elite boxers (one per weight category) born between 1982 and 2003 as the KBF expects the attendance of four confederations.

Monetary prizes are up for grabs in the historic first edition of the Elorda Cup as gold medalists will each receive 700 USD, silver medalists 400 USD and bronze medalists 200 USD.
