Youth talents shined in the Kyrgyzstan U21 National Championships

The Kyrgyz U21 National Championships was held in Bishkek where their best teenage boxers such as Anarbek Zhaparov and Daniyar Omurbek Uulu both won their weight classes. The Kyrgyz Boxing Federation launched the event at the very first time to build up their background and keep their talents between the youth and elite age groups.
Boxers who were born between 1996 and 1999 were eligible to compete in the Kyrgyz U21 National Championships in Bishkek. Altogether 96 male boxers attended in the national event in their capital and eleven champions have been crowned. The most popular division was the lightweight (60kg) where the participants have been divided into two parts.
Issyk-Kul region’s Nurzhigit Dyushebayev was bronze medallist in the Kyrgyz National Universiade but after that competition he was able to win the title at the light flyweight (49kg) in their U21 National Championships. He was too strong for Batken’s Beknur Polotov in the semi-final and Asylbek Amankul Uulu in the final of the national event.
A promising youth hope Youth National Championships bronze medallist Akilbek Esenbek Uulu dominated all of his flyweight (52kg) contests in the event. The 19-year-old boxer spent only a short time in the ring against Batken region’s Erlan Arstanbek Uulu when the referee confirmed his RSC success in the first round.
Issyk-Kul region’s Anarbek Zhaparov is only 18 but his skills were enough to beat all of his rivals in the U21 National Championships in Bishkek. The Kyrgyz bantamweight (56kg) talent controlled his final against Chui region’s Islam Kenzhebekov and his technique delivered for him a title in the U21 level.
Bishkek’s Argen Kadyrbek Uulu developed well in the recent one year and his results are even better every month. Following his title in the Kyrgyz National Universiade he was able to beat Talas region’s Kalys Aliakbarov in the final of the lightweight (60kg). The second part of the lightweight (60kg) was won by Batken region’s Daniyar Mamytov who stopped Temirlan Kadyrov in the final of the event.
ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships competitor and Youth National Champion Bekzhan Ilichbek Uulu had a hard job against Syrgak Abdyzhapar in the quarter-finals but he was able to continue his winning path until the final of the light welterweight (64kg) where he was too smart for Rustam Yrysbek Uulu. The final verdict was unanimous decision to the 19-year-old Bekzhan Ilichbek Uulu and claimed his next national title.
ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships bronze medallist Daniyar Omurbek Uulu moved up to the welterweight (69kg) in the recent months and he proved his technique once again in the national event. The 18-year-old talent controlled his final fight against Kaniyet Zhusupov while experienced Talgat Kozubekov achieved only bronze medal this time in the U21 National Championships.
The gold medal of the middleweight (75kg) went to Bishkek’s Manucher Abdualiyev who defeated Mukhametali Dadabayev by unanimous decision in the final. Bishkek’s Aslan Abayev was not able to get any medal in the Kyrgyz National Universiade a few weeks ago but he controlled all of his fights this time in the U21 National Championships. The former Youth National Championships silver medallist defeated Bekbolsun Toktosun Uulu in the final of the event.
Bishkek’s National Championships silver medallist Zhaksylyk Kuzaliyev won the gold medal in the Kyrgyz National Universiade and following that competition he was able to repeat his top performance in the U21 National Championships. The 21-year-old heavyweight (91kg) boxer was too strong for Bishkek’s Daniyar Orazbekov and won his next national title.
Osh-based Kyrgyz National Championships bronze medallist and Maruf Khusainov Memorial Tournament winner Altynbek Abdidzhalil Uulu dominated all of his fights at the super heavyweight (+91kg) including the final against Bishkek’s Youth National Championships silver medallist 18-year-old Maksim Tkachev.
