Tournament, training camp set prior to Youth World Championships in Spain
The Spanish Boxing Federation will host a preparatory tournament as well as a training camp before the IBA Youth Men’s & Women’s World Championships 2022 fires off on November 13 in the province of Alicante, Spain.
The federation will organize the traditional Boxam Youth Tournament from October 3 to 9 in Benidorm where the accommodation of the Youth World Championships participants will be situated.
An international training camp for the youth boxers will follow suit from October 14 to November 13.
The world tourney, which will have its competition venue in La Nucia, will run until November 27.
Earlier this year, the Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC) hosted the Asian Youth & Junior Championships in Amman, Jordan, helping the Asian federations determine their potential bets for the upcoming world tilt.
A number of Asian countries including powerhouses India, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan conducted national and international competitions to select and prepare their young fighters. India will eye to repeat its overall championship back in the AIBA Youth World Championships 2021 in Kielce, Poland where its promising pugs plucked eight gold and three bronze medals.
