The traditional Boxam Tournament has been postponed which affects several Asian countries

The new edition of the Boxam Tournament has been postponed due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 Coronavirus and the lockdown of Spain. The traditional Boxam Tournament will have new date later this year following the situation which is affecting the world, will be cleared in the upcoming weeks or months.

The event was originally planned to be hosted in Castellon de la Plana, Spain on April 13-19 and should be supported the preparation for the World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event which was scheduled to be held in the middle of May.

Spain’s biggest boxing event was popular among the Asian countries, many of them have been registered to attend in the Boxam Tournament. Uzbekistan, Thailand, Mongolia, India, Qatar and Kazakhstan all were planning to attend in the Boxam Tournament in Spain. All of them were thinking about to send their teams still before the start of the World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event.

Spain’s airports and all activities are closed by their Government as in many other nations but the LOC of the Boxam Tournament is hoping that they can host the competition still in 2020.
