The Technical Meeting and the Official Draw took place in the AIBA World Boxing Championships

The Technical Meeting and the Official Draw was held at the venue of the AIBA World Boxing Championships in Belgrade. The venue of the meetings was the Pacific Hall at the Hotel Crown Plaza in Serbia’s capital. The total number of boxers is 510 at the AIBA World Boxing Championships representing 88 different nations in Belgrade which was confirmed during the Official Draw.

The following 20 Asian nations will be attending in the AIBA World Boxing Championships in Belgrade: Afghanistan competes under the name of the Fair Chance Team, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Laos, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tajikistan, Chinese Taipei, and Uzbekistan. The bouts will be starting with one session on Monday from 6pm.

Altogether 48 Referees & Judges will work in the AIBA World Boxing Championships which is a money prize event for the boxers. There will be specific media weigh-ins in the two finals days after the general weigh-in. The gloves are 10 ounces between the 48kg and 67kg weight categories, and 12 ounces will be used from the light middleweight (71kg) up to the super heavyweight (+92kg).  The company of the Green Hill is the equipment provider of the AIBA World Boxing Championships.

The 10-point must scorings system will be used during the AIBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships where there is no seeding at the very first time since 2007 because of the new weight categories. Only the AOB bandages will be allowed and the Local Organizing Committee provide them for all participants.

The mask wearing rules are very strict in the AIBA World Boxing Championships, all participants must be used it in all of the areas, venues and hotels. The AIBA Disciplinary Code and AIBA Ethics must respect for all of the participants.
