The team delegations’ handbook of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships confirmed the event will start in Astana on July 16

The team delegations’ handbook of the upcoming ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships has been issued and all of the National Federations can start to register their teams in the IBA Database. The new edition of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan on July 14-30.

Kazakhstan Boxing Federation hosted its last ASBC Championships for the youth boxers in Pavlodar in 2016 and after seven years of break, a top event returns to the country. The city of Astana hosted the 2011 Cadet World Boxing Championships, the 2012 Asian Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event, several rounds in the previous World Series of Boxing and the 2016 Women’s World Boxing Championships.

The boxers who were born in 2005 and in 2006 are eligible to participate in the youth part of the championships. The younger generation members from the 2007 and the 2008 age groups will be able to fight for the junior titles in Astana.

The venue of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be the Martial Arts and Palace named by Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov at the Kabanbay Batyr Avenue in Astana. The deadline for the registrations to the championships is June 20.

There will be still several preparation events for these age groups mostly in the European continent until the start of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships. The Emil Jechev Memorial in Bulgaria, the Yukov Memorial in Belarus and the prestigious Bornemissza Youth & Junior Memorial Tournament in Hungary.

Junior Women: 46kg, 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg and +80kg weight categories

Junior Men: 46kg, 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg and +80kg weight categories

Youth Women: 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 81kg and +81kg weight categories

Youth Men: 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63.5kg, 67kg, 71kg, 75kg, 80kg, 86kg, 92kg and +92kg weight categories
