The Saudi Arabian Boxing Federation is planning to host its first historical Women’s National Championships in 2021

Saudi Arabia is a developing National Federation in the Western Asian region which has got strong strategic plans in the upcoming years. One of their new sensational plans is to arrange the first ever Saudi Arabian Women’s National Boxing Championships in 2021 after the situation will be stable once again.

Their activities are planning to be continued in 2021 with courses, competitions, educational programs and various training camps according to their management. The Saudi Arabians hosted several courses for their coaches, referees and judges and officials to increase their boxing knowledge in the recent two and half years.

The Saudi Arabian national events are scheduled in 2021 for various age groups following all of them have been postponed in 2020. The National Championships for their elite male, youth, junior and schoolboys are general events which holds every year together with the Club National Boxing Championships.

Their absolutely new planned activity is the first historical edition of the Saudi Arabian Women’s National Championships in 2021 to continue the Asian continent’s important Gender Equality in our sport. The wearing of Hijab was approved in the international and national boxing events almost two years ago and supports the Western Asian region to join to the women competitions.

The number of the women boxers who trains regularly in Saudi Arabia is around 50 according to their database who are ready to fight at the very first time in a competition. The planning date of the historical competition is under the supervision of the Saudi Arabian Boxing Federation and depends on the Covid-19 situation.

Saudi Arabia’s management launched grassroots programs for the youngest age groups to build up the future and involving women boxing is their next huge commitment to our sport. Their National Federation is building up the future and plans to host international competitions in the upcoming years.
