The Press Conference of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships confirmed 18 nations can compete for the medals in Dubai
The Press Conference of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates where all of the important information revealed to the local media members. ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba, ASBC Executive Director Mr. Ali Salameh, ASBC Sports Director Mr. Omar Saleh Aljabri and ASBC Administrative Director Mr. Bassam Ghanem all attended in the Press Conference.
Eighteen nations confirmed its participation in the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships in Dubai: Bahrain, Indonesia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan.
The ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on August 17-31 while its competition period is August 20-30. The Technical Meeting and the Official Draw will be held on the 19th and following these starts the Grand Opening is scheduled in the evening of the same day.
The new weight classes will be introduced in the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships in Dubai based on the AIBA’s decision to re-arrange the categories. The competition will be held for both genders and for the youth and junior boxers together at the very first time in the event’s history.
Following the 2021 edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships, the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be also a money prize event. All of the medallists will be earning cash prizes besides to their medals in Dubai where 10 competition days are scheduled for the participating nations.
