Only one day left until the first contests in the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships where the Technical Meeting will be coming soon

Only one day left until the first contests and the opening session of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships. The Technical Meeting will be coming soon in the Le Meridien Hotel at 3pm which follows the Official Draw of the continental event. Another highlight of today’s actions will be the Opening Ceremony at the Grand Ballroom of the Le Meridien Hotel at 8pm.

The Sport Entries Check finished just before these official ceremonies and all of the participating teams arrived to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Tajikistan’s delegations arrived in the final day of the Sport Entries Check and their young talents are ready to prove their very best. The top nations of the Asian continent such as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, India, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan and many others arrived to Dubai earlier to acclimatize to the local environment.  

Eighteen nations confirmed its participation in the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships in Dubai: Bahrain, Indonesia, India, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan. The competition will be live streamed in the ASBC YouTube channel and the fans can follow all of the sessions in the upcoming nearly two weeks.

The upcoming money prize event, the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on August 17-31 while its competition period is August 20-30. Following the Sport Entries Check, the Technical Meeting, the Official Draw and the Grand Opening Ceremony will be held in the same day on the 19th of August. The venue of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships is the same as the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships which took place in the Grand Ballroom at the Le Meridien Hotel.

Altogether record number of 51 champions will be crowned in the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships, 25 girls and 26 boys. At the very first time in the Asian boxing events’ history, two age groups, the junior and the youth can attend in one championships. The women and the men boxers who were born in 2003 and in 2004 are eligible to compete in the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships. The younger boxers who were born in the years of 2005 and in 2006 can attend in the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be a money prize event, following the management of the Asian Boxing Confederation, the ASBC Head office and AIBA confirmed it. The medallists of the 2021 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships will be received cash prizes besides to their medals in May and the youth and junior boxers will be able to earn money in the next upcoming continental event.
