The President in Nepal Mr. Ram Awale led the Press Conference of the Prakash Dahal Memorial Championships

The Nepal Boxing Association hosted a Press Conference in their capital city to inform the public and the media members regarding the upcoming Prakash Dahal Memorial Championships. The President of the Nepal Boxing Association Mr. Ram Awale informed all participants the upcoming event will be held in November 15-19.

Nepal Boxing Association will be the host of the 2nd edition of the Prakash Dahal Memorial Championships which is a national event for their elite women and men boxers. The event will be a selection for their female boxers before the start of the AIBA Women’s Elite World Boxing Championships.

The women’s weight classes in the event will be the light flyweight (48kg), flyweight (50kg), light bantamweight (52kg), bantamweight (54kg), featherweight (57kg), lightweight (60kg), light welterweight (63kg) and welterweight (66kg). The men’s elite boxers can attend in all of the current 13 weight categories from the light flyweight (48kg) up to the super heavyweight (+91kg) at the Prakash Dahal Memorial Championships. Nepal Boxing Association hosted a selection event also for their men’s elite boxers to find the best boxers in five different weight categories. These winners are planning to attend at the upcoming AIBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships which will be held in Belgrade, Serbia from October 24. Nepal sent boxers to the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships and also to the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships this year.
