The new date of the Tokyo Olympic Games has been officially announced and will be held from July 23 until August 8 in 2021

A new conference call held among the President of the International Olympic Committee Mr. Thomas Bach, the President of the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee Mr. Yoshiro Mori, the Olympic Minister Mr. Seiko Hashimoto, and the Governor of Tokyo Mr. Yuriko Koike earlier today. Following their conversation, the new date of the Tokyo Olympic Games has been announced and will be held between July 23 and August 8 in 2021.

The Games of the XXXII Olympiad in Tokyo has been postponed due to the Covid-19 Coronavirus situation which spread worldwide. The postponement has been officially confirmed on March 24 and the management of the International Olympic Committee together with the Japanese government decided the new date of the Olympic Games today stated in the official website of the IOC.

The Asian & Oceanian Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event was held in Amman, Jordan on March 2-11 and the continent’s 57 boxers have already qualified for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games. Their second chance the World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event will be scheduled by the IOC Boxing Task Force later.
