The Bombay Bullets turned back their next match and defeated Odisha Warriors in an exciting encounter

The twelfth day of boxing was held in the Indian Big Bout Boxing League between the Bombay Bullets and the Odisha Warriors. The Bombay Bullets lost to Ne Rhinos in a hectic 4-3 match in a previous encounter but the franchise was able to win the same way their next challenge against the Odisha Warriors with a great comeback.

Big Bout is the official name of the Indian Boxing League which is a new program of the Boxing Federation of India which will be closing the busy year of 2019. Boxing Federation of India covered all costs for the boxers including flight tickets, accommodation, meals and local transportation, furthermore strong money prizes for the boxers. The competition period of the League is from December 2 until December 21 which is open for top foreign boxers as well.  

Odisha Warriors’ first success was achieved by Jasmine at the women’s youth featherweight (57kg) where she was too strong for Priya Kushwaha. Deepak claimed silver medal at the Bangkok 2019 ASBC Asian Men’s Elite Boxing Championships but since then he moved up to the flyweight (52kg). The experienced boxer was too strong for Bombay’s Ananta Chopade controlling the fight from the first seconds.

Bombay’s first success was achieved by Rohit at the men’s middleweight (75kg) after beating Parmod Kumar on Day12. Odisha’s Sandhya Rani defeated Bombay’s Monika which meant her franchise led by 3-1 after four fights and moved closer to the final success. Odisha’s Mohamed Ibrahim was near to finish the whole match with the victory of their team but ASBC Asian Boxing Championships silver medallist Kavinder Singh Bisht won finally their exciting bantamweight (57kg) fight.

Colombia’s Rio 2016 Olympic Games bronze medallist and AMBC American Women’s Champion Ingrit Lorena Valencia also had a tough fight but she managed her success over Shiksha at the female flyweight (51kg) which meant Bombay Bullets equalized the match and got 3-3. The final results was depended on the seventh pairs in the night which was won by Naveen Boora over Odisha Warriors’ 18-year-old Vijay Deep Duhan at the men’s welterweight (69kg) capturing Bombay Bullets’ 4-3 success.
