The AIBA Supervisor & ITO Course is underway in Almaty

The AIBA Supervisor & ITO Certification Course is underway with 25 Asian applicants in Almaty which is Kazakhstan’s most populated city and the host of the 2013 AIBA World Boxing Championships. The Supervisor & ITO Course is holding in the AIBA Academy among the picturesque mountains.
Mr. Helmut Ranze was the Supervisor of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and several other big events in the recent Olympic era. Besides to the German official Brazil’s experienced AIBA member Mr. Luiz Boselli are also there as instructor in the AIBA Supervisor & ITO Certification Course. Mr. David Llaurado represents the AIBA Sports Department in the AIBA Supervisor & ITO Certification Course in Almaty.
Altogether 25 Asians are taking part in the course from various countries and all regions of the continent. Among them several people worked well for the World’s and Asia’s boxing life in the recent years and have got enough experiences to take part in the big events in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic era after the successful exams.
Kazakhstan’s Mrs. Marina Ni, Mr. Maxim Koltomov, Mr. Askar Sharipov and Ms. Ainur Dossanova are well-known officials in the boxing world who are taking part in the Supervisor & ITO Course in Almaty. Indonesia’s current General Secretary Mrs. Selowati Hadi Soejono is a successful ITO from various international competitions and well-known as Shelly Miranda in the boxing family.
India established its new boxing federation last month and their General Secretary Mr. Jay Kowli is representing the country in the AIBA Supervisor & ITO Certification Course in Almaty. Macau’s Billy Vong Kuok Veng was involved to the world’s boxing life several years ago and since then he worked as ITO in AIBA and ASBC events.
Hong Kong is very active in the current Supervisor & ITO Course as four of their officials Wong Sai Kuen, So Ka Kin, Yip Kwok Cheung and Ronald Lau Wai Lun represent the country in Almaty. DPR Korea sent two officials to Almaty, Jang Song Nam and Hyon Sik who are also experienced in the boxing competitions.
Thailand’s Kraitach Kaewkate was the main organizer of the last successful edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships in Bangkok and now he is also there with the other Asian applicants in Almaty. Participants from the United Arab Emirates, Iran and Nepal are also taking part in the course.
The AIBA Supervisor & ITO Certification Course is very important for all participants and the first big step in the road to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The next edition of the Olympic Games will be held in Asia once again after the 2008 Beijing events and another big chance for our officials and managers to work for boxing successfully.
