The 2nd Elorda Cup will be a highlight in the end of the month

The Kazakhstan Boxing Federation’s main international event in the summer period will be the Elorda Cup in Astana, Kazakhstan. The new money prizes competition will start on June 26 and the departure date from the event is July 3. The organizers of the Elorda Cup are the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Astana City and the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation.

The women boxers will be able to compete from the minimumweight (48kg) up to the heavyweight (+81kg) in Astana. The male boxers will be boxing for the medals from the minimumweight (48kg) up to the super heavyweight (+92kg) which means that altogether 25 champions will be crowned in the 2nd edition of the Elorda Cup.

The Elorda Cup will be a money prize event, all of the gold medallists will earn 700 USD, the silver medallists 400 USD and the two boxers who will take the bronze medals each will get 200 USD from the local organizers.

All of the expenses must be covered by the participating teams including the flight tickets, accommodation and meals. The costs to the official duration of the Elorda Cup will be 855 USD per person in a single room and 705 in case of a double room per person.

The first edition of the Elorda Cup was held one year ago in Kazakhstan’s capital city and the host country became the most successful in 2022. China and Turkmenistan joined back to the international boxing events at the 1st Elorda Cup in 2022 when Uzbekistan, India, Japan, Cuba, and Kyrgyzstan were also key nations in the competition.

The Elorda Cup is one of the top preparation events before the Asian Games which will be starting in Hangzhou, China on September 23. Several of the Asian National Federations will be using the upcoming international competitions such as the Elorda Cup as preparations and selections for the Games.
