The 19th Bekzat Sattarkhanov Youth Memorial Tournament will be held in Kazakhstan from March 30
The upcoming 19th edition of the Bekzat Sattarkhanov Youth Memorial Tournament will be held for the youth men boxers in Turkestan, Kazakhstan from March 30 until April 5. The competition was named after Kazakhstan’s Sydney 2000 Olympic Champion Bekzat Sattarkhanov who died in a car accident at the age of 20 a few months later than taking the gold medal in Australia.
Kazakhstan’s historical city, Turkestan is part of the UNESCO World Heritage and located in South Kazakhstan near to the Uzbek border. Turkestan will be hosting also the Abdusalam Nurmakhanov International Elite Boxing Tournament on April 15-20 which is another highlight of the region’s boxing life.
Boxers who were born in 2002 and in 2003 are eligible to attend in the Bekzat Sattarkhanov Youth Memorial Tournament in Turkestan. Each of the delegation can bring five boxers, one coach and one referee & judge to the Bekzat Sattarkhanov Youth Memorial Tournament.
The 19th edition of the Bekzat Sattarkhanov Youth Memorial Tournament will be held in eleven men weight classes as follows: pinweight (46kg), light flyweight (49kg), flyweight (52kg), bantamweight (56kg), lightweight (60kg), light welterweight (64kg), welterweight (69kg), middleweight (75kg), light heavyweight (81kg), heavyweight (91kg) and super heavyweight (+91kg).
All of the National Federations can register to the 19th Bekzat Sattarkhanov Youth Memorial Tournament not later than March 25
