Team Kazakhstan starts its new training camp in the Ak Bulak Olympic Centre on May 25

Kazakhstan achieved eight male spots, and one female quota place for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games through the Asian & Oceanian Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event which was held in Amman more than two months ago. Team Kazakhstan will be starting their next national training camp in the Almaty region from May 25. 

The lockdown due to the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic finished in Kazakhstan on May 11 and life will be turning back to normal in the upcoming days. Following these hard weeks, their national head coach Mr. Galymbek Kenzhebayev will be launching the new national training camp from May 25 until June 12 to strengthen the physical condition of the boxers and increase their technical skills before the upcoming international events.

The training camp will be held in the Ak Bulak Olympic Centre which locates near to the former capital, Almaty. Approximately 30 of their top boxers including AIBA World Championships medallist and Tokyo Olympians will be there in the training camp which will follow all of the hygienic and sanitary rules due to the safety of the sportsmen.

The management of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation has got further plans which includes joint training camp with the teams of Russia, Uzbekistan and Ukraine. The Askar Kulibayev Prizes Tournament and some other events are also in their future plan to increase the number of bouts of their boxers.
