Tashkent will be the capital city of the boxing weekend

Uzbekistan’s Tashkent will be the capital city of the boxing world in the upcoming busy weekend where two APB nights and two WSB matches will be held in the Sport Complex of Uzbekistan. Their boxers are competing also in the Strandja Memorial Tournament in Bulgaria which show their background has been raised in the recent two years.
Uzbekistan claimed six medals in the Doha 2015 AIBA World Boxing Championships and nine podium places in the last edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships in Bangkok. Their WSB franchise won their first away match in Puerto Rico while Tashkent joined to the venues of APB last June.
Uzbekistan’s AIBA World Boxing Championships silver medallist Jasurbek Latipov won three APB bouts in the recent one and half year and he is focusing to his fourth wins against Mongolia’s National Champion Gandulam Mungun-Erdene who was quarter-finalist in the 2012 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships. Their Flyweight class (52 kg) bout relates to the 1st round of Cycle II.
Uzbekistan’s Dilshod Makhmudov was silver medallist at the 2005 AIBA World Boxing Championships and the 34-year-old Welterweight class (69 kg) veteran will return to the competitions in the upcoming APB bout against Spain’s top fighter Youba Ndiaye Sissokho. A big Asian battle will be held between Uzbekistan’s Incheon 2014 Asian Games silver medallist Isroil Madrimov and India’s former Asian Games winner Vikas Krishan Yadav who won the South Asian Games one week ago.
Uzbekistan’s current Light Heavyweight class (81 kg) National Champion 24-year-old Zukhriddin Makhkamov and ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships silver medallist Ulugbek Mubinov also will be fighting in the AIBA Pro Boxing against European opponents on Saturday.
Uzbek Tigers had two WSB matches in Season VI and their young boxers will be fighting against Puerto Rico Hurricanes on Friday which will be their repeat encounter after their first one in San Juan. Uzbek Tigers won that away match 5-0 therefore their talented boxers such as Abrorjon Kodirov, Elnur Abduraimov, Dostonbek Turdiev and Shuhrat Abdullaev are the favourites in Tashkent.
Uzbek Tigers will have a big battle with the titleholder franchise of the World Series of Boxing Astana Arlans Kazakhstan on Saturday afternoon. ASBC Asian Champion Hasanboy Dusmatov and strong Hurshidbek Normatov also joins to the Uzbek franchise in the top match of the WSB Weekend. Uzbekistan’s new National Champions such as Abdulkhay Sharakhmatov and Fazliddin Meliboev will be there also in the start of the match.
