Suleimenov, Mirzakhalilov and Yeraliyev were among the winners of the first day at the Republic of Kazakhstan President’s Cup

The 7th edition of the Republic of Kazakhstan President’s Cup started in the capital city of the Central Asian boxing power in Nur-Sultan which is the official new name of previously known Astana. The whole competition opened with sensational fights at the bantamweight (57kg) where such star as Ilyas Suleimenov, Kairat Yeraliyev and Mirazizbek Mirzakhalilov also won their tough fights.
The gold, silver and bronze medalists will be received money prizes at the Republic of Kazakhstan President’s Cup. The following nations are attending in the Republic of Kazakhstan President’s Cup in Nur-Sultan: Algeria, Bulgaria, China, Georgia, India, host Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Philippines, Russia, Syria, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Three Confederations the Asian, the European and the African will be represented their bests in the upcoming international event in Nur-Sultan.

Sensational fights at the bantamweight (57kg) on Day1
Kazakhstan’s Incheon 2014 Asian Games winner Ilyas Suleimenov is already 29 and he had all of the experiences to beat a younger rival Aydos Arapov in the opening bout of the whole international tournament. Uzbekistan’s Mirazizbek Mirzakhalilov claimed gold at the Jakarta 2018 Asian Games and defeated Kazakhstan’s experienced Nurbol Kalzhanov which was one of the closest combats of the whole first competition day.
Kazakhstan’s Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Champion Kairat Yeraliyev had also a tough opponent to first but he was able to manage his close success over Philippines’ Asian Games bronze medallist Mario Fernandez. The main surprise of the weight class on Day1 was delivered by Tajikistan’s National Champion Bakhtovar Sagizov who was slightly better than Bulgaria’s promising star Boyan Asenov in Nur-Sultan.

Kyrgyzstan’s Argen Kadyrbek Uulu eliminated a top rival at the light welterweight (63kg)
Kazakhstan’s Dilmurat Mizhitov increased his skills in the World Series of Boxing and those experiences paid off against Sabyrzhan Bekbergenov in the opening day of the Republic of Kazakhstan President’s Cup. His main national rivals as two-time ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships silver medallist Zakir Safiullin and Sanatali Toltayev both won their preliminary contests by 4:1 on Day1. Toltayev eliminated Bulgaria’s WSB boxer Kirill Rusinov who tried to pressurize him but the Kazakh youngster was technically better. The closest success of the division was delivered by Kyrgyzstan’s Jakarta 2018 Asian Games quarter-finalist Argen Kadyrbek Uulu who eliminated Philippines’ former ASBC Asian Youth Champion James Palicte in Nur-Sultan.

Kazakhstan’s star Ablaikhan Zhussupov amazed the crowd on Day1
Kazakhstan’s Ablaikhan Zhussupov was Youth Olympic Games winner and AIBA Youth World Champion in 2014 and as an elite boxer he claimed bronze in the Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships. The 22-year-old Kazakh welterweight (69kg) boxer had one of the best African fighters but he dominated this preliminary bout against Algeria’s Chemseddine Kramou. Kazakhstan’s Youth Olympic Games silver medallist teenager Talgat Shayken also proved strong skills and defeated China’s Zhang Boxiang on Day1. The top sensation of the welterweight (69kg) was delivered by India’s Duryodhan Singh Negi who eliminated Russia’s National Champion Sergey Sobylinskiy.
