Record number of boxers and nations are expected to take part in the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships

The next big event in our continent will be the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships which will be taking place in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates on October 8-17. Following the feedbacks from the National Federations and the registrations in the AIBA Database, the management of the Asian Boxing Confederation is expecting record number of boxers in the event.
United Arab Emirates never hosted any major international competitions yet but they have all of the facilities, venues, staff members and experiences to make a fantastic competition in the city of Fujairah. The upcoming ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships will be the first continental event in the United Arab Emirates.
Following the success of the first historical edition of the ASBC Asian Confederations Schoolboys Boxing Championships, which was held in Kuwait City, our continent will be able to continue its strong development with the junior event. The competition will be held at the very first time for the girl boxers in this age group in our continent which is another historical step for Asian Boxing Confederation and all Asian National Federations.
The registrations are open in the AIBA Database for all affiliated Asian National Federations since August 1 and will be closed on September 10. Those National Federations, which did not register in the AIBA Database yet, has got eight further days to add their teams, officials, coaches and boxers to the system.
The ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships is scheduled to take place in the city of Fujairah which is near to the Dubai International Airport and has got amazing, modern and picturesque facilities and venues. The competition venue of the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships will be the newly built Zayed Sports Complex which has the capacity of 10,000 people.
The boxers who were born in 2003 or in 2004 are eligible to compete in the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships in the United Arab Emirates. Altogether 26 champions will be crowned in the event in 13 women weight classes and also in 13 men categories as follows: 46kg, 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg and +80kg.
