Neutral Evaluators and R&Js are officiating the Uzbekistan Elite National Championships

The Uzbekistan Women’s and Men’s Elite National Championships started at the Universal Sports Palace in Tashkent. The management of the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation invited neutral officials and referees to officiate the National Championships. Scotland’s experienced Mr. Andrew Caulfield and Ukraine’s Mr. Igor Biletskyi are working in the Uzbekistan National Championships as Evaluators.

The following AIBA 3-stars Referees & Judges were invited to the Uzbekistan Elite National Championships: Ms. Zhamila Borkoeva of Kyrgyzstan, Mr. Luca Vadilonga of Italy, Mr. Jakov Peterson of Estonia, Mr. Yasar Cinar of Turkey, Mr. Emil Gurbanaliyev of Azerbaijan, Mr. Dmytro Lazarev of Ukraine, Mr. Sidali Mokretari of Algeria and Mr. Wilfredo Vasquez of Cuba.

The finals of the Uzbekistan Elite National Championships will be finishing on the 14th and until that the competition will be busy. Altogether 64 female and 286 male boxers are attending in the national event from all of the regions, Karakalpakstan and the cities of Uzbekistan following the regional selections.

The women boxers can compete in 11 weight categories from the 48kg up to the 81kg divisions in Tashkent. The official thirteen male weight classes are in action at the Uzbekistan Elite National Championships: minimumweight (48kg), flyweight (51kg), bantamweight (54kg), featherweight (57kg), lightweight (60kg), light welterweight (63.5kg), welterweight (67kg), light middleweight (71kg), middleweight (75kg), light heavyweight (80kg), cruiserweight (86kg), heavyweight (92kg) and super heavyweight (+92kg).

Boxers who were born between 1981 and 2003 were eligible to attend in the Uzbekistan Elite National Championships in 2021. Many of their young hopes will be facing each other to get the spots for the upcoming ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships which is scheduled to be hosted in Tashkent on January 20-30, 2022.

Some of the Uzbek stars will be missing the National Championships after their tough duties in 2021 but many of the young and next generation boxers could be the new heroes of the event. Their Asian Games medallists, ASBC Asian Boxing Championships medallists, AIBA Youth World Champions, ASBC Asian Youth Champions and many international tournament winners are attending in the new edition.
