Muhammad Fuad is the star in the Malaysia Boxing Cup

The Malaysia Boxing Cup was held in the city of Gerik which is located in the Northern part of the country in Perak District. Malaysia’s heroes in the sport such as Muhammad Fuad Bin Mohamed Redzuan, Abdul Salam Bin Kasim, Khir Akyazlan Bin Azmi and Adil Hafidz Bin Fauzi all defeated their rivals in the event.
The Malaysians competed well in the Southeast Asian Games, their boxers claimed one gold, one silver and one bronze medal in the front of the home crowd. The Malaysian boxers trained well in Kazakhstan before the SEA Games but now all of them are focusing to the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Commonwealth Games quarter-finalist Muhammad Fuad Bin Mohamed Redzuan is member of the national team since 2009 and dominated all of his national fights in the recent years. The newly crowned Southeast Asian Games winner Malaysian controlled all of the rounds in the final of the light flyweight (49kg) against Bubung Budam and won the final by unanimous decision in the National Cup.
ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships quarter-finalist Abdul Salam Bin Kasim was a newcomer in the Malaysian national team in 2016 but he showed his potential in the international events. The 21-year-old Malaysian flyweight (52kg) talent controlled all of the rounds against Tuan Zaharonizam and won his second national title within short period.
Arfiqanie Ahmad Bin Anshori will be turning to 21 only later this year but he competed already in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games in Singapore as well. The young Malaysian bantamweight (56kg) boxer was too strong for Jemis Wong Lee On in the final and kept his place in the national team following his performance.
Mohammed Alnazirul Othman is an experienced national team member boxer who competed in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and several other Asian events. The 27-year-old lightweight (60kg) boxer defeated Mohamed Zulkifli Abd Rahman and Khairi Muhammad in the final stages of the National Cup.
ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships quarter-finalist Khir Akyazlan Bin Azmi has been boxing for the national team since 2009 and competed all of the important international events already excluding the Olympic Games. The 25-year-old boxer moved back to his original light welterweight (64kg) and had to do his very best against National Games winner Mohamed Khairol Bin Kalai in the final.
Zainuddin Abdul Rahman is a new top boxer in the national team who was able to beat Mohamed Hazwan Khamis by unanimous decision in the final of the welterweight (69kg). ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships competitor Indran Ramakrishnan was enough strong to beat Rudy Petrus in the final of the middleweight (75kg) while national team member Mohamed Alieshah claimed only bronze medal.
ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships quarter-finalist Adil Hafidz Bin Fauzi stopped Wan Rizuan Wan Aziz in the semi-final and had to meet in the final of the light heavyweight (81kg) with Mohamed Hanafi Fairuz which tactical job was also issued by Hafidz. Mohamed Faizal Omar is Malaysia’s No.1 boxer at the heavyweight (91kg) who advanced to the final and defeated Rashid Omar in the last bout of the event.
