Mr. Serik Konakbayev and ASBC management congratulates to the 15 Asian medallists in the Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships

President of the Asian Boxing Confederation and Vice-President of the International Boxing Association, furthermore the whole ASBC management are proud of the performance of the Asian boxers in the Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships. The new 19th edition of the AIBA World Boxing Championships was a real breakthrough for the Asian boxers in the new Tokyo 2020 Olympic cycle.
The Asian boxers achieved finally 15 medals in the Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships and took over all of the continents with their strong performance. Powerful boxing countries of our continent as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Mongolia and India won the medals for our continent in Hamburg.
Uzbekistan continued its strong performance after the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and the Tashkent 2017 ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships. Re-building the Kazakh team after the Rio 2016 Olympic Games was a successful mission from Mr. Myrzagali Aitzhanov who arrived to Hamburg with new national team members. Mongolia, South Korea and India proved their boxers have got all the potentials to join to the best boxing nations not only in Asia but in the World as well.
Kazakhstan’s Kairat Yeraliyev arrived to Hamburg in top shape and his tactically strong decisions helped him to get the gold medal in the event. Uzbekistan’s Rio 2016 Olympic Games silver medallist Shakhram Giyasov won his final playing with his Cuban rival and celebrated his first ever AIBA World Boxing Championships title.
