Maimaiti Tuersunqiong returned to the Chinese team and showed his clever boxing in the first day of the Boxam Tournament

The Boxam Tournament is a traditional European boxing event in Spain which is holding in Murcia this week. China’s two-time Olympian welterweight (69kg) top boxer Maimaiti Tuersunqiong returned to the world of the international events with a success in Murcia where he produced one of the best performances in the opening day.
Thailand competed in the youth age group of the 2017 Boxam Tournament in Spain where their Atichai Phoemsap claimed the gold medal. Among the Asian National Federations China decided to send a team to the Boxam Tournament this time and their elite squad, which has been preparing to the Asian Games, performed well on Day 1.
China’s Maimaiti Tuersunqiong is a two-time Olympian boxer who returned to the national team after four years of break. The Chinese welterweight (69kg) boxer gave a boxing lesion to Denmark’s Islam Zaypulayev in the whole length of their contest. The Xinjiang-based Chinese boxer was too smart and too experienced for the young Danish hope and Maimaiti Tuersunqiong advanced to the next stage of the competition.
China’s Tuohetaerbieke Tanglatihan attended several international competitions in Bulgaria, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in the recent three years and tried to use his longer reach against France’s Victor Yoka. The Chinese middleweight (75kg) boxer had hard job against the quick French talent who felt the tempo in the second round. Yoka stepped into the gas in the third round and his jabs worked better in that period which decided their narrow fight in Murcia where the French could celebrate his triumph.
