Khamidova, Safarova and Musoyeva dominated their finals in the Tajikistan Women’s Youth National Championships

The female finals of the Tajikistan Youth National Championships were held in Kulob where several of their young women prospects showed impressive developments in the record breaking competition. Eight women champions have been crowned in Kulob including strong future hopes as Munisa Khamidova, Mavluda Safarova and Shukrona Musoyeva.

Tajikistan Boxing Federation was held a National Referee & Judge Course before the start of the Tajikistan Youth National Championships in the city of Kulob which is located in the southern region of the country in the Khatlon region. Experienced international R&Js as Mr. Mansur Mukhiddinov and Mr. Akmal Abdullaev were the instructors of their educational project in Kulob.

The new edition of the Tajikistan Youth National Championships for their male and female is a four-days long competition in Kulob. Record number of 51 female boxers attend in the national event where the number of the male athletes is 76. Boxers who were born in 2002 and in 2003 were eligible to attend in the Tajikistan Youth National Championships from all regions of the country.

Khatlon region’s Munisa Khamidova had a tough semi-final against Farida Khalilova of Dushanbe but she managed that close bout in Kulob. She and Sidikjon Bibioyshai were the first finalists in the women’s part of the event, they met for the gold medal of the pinweight (46kg). Khamidova shared her power well enough in the bout and celebrated her gold medal after the last gong.

Khangoma Yokubova won the next title of the event at the light flyweight (48kg) where she defeated Rakhmiyamo Sariyeva by unanimous decision. Khatlon region’s Women’s Junior National Champion Mavluda Safarova was the favourite against Oyshamo Jafarova at the flyweight (51kg) and she accomplished her goal.

Bibisoro Jumayeva claimed silver medal at the 2019 Tajikistan Women’s Junior National Championships which she changed into gold in the city of Kulob. She had a tough opponent, 17-year-old Nigora Odimova who had also strong results from the previous events, but Jumayeva managed their tactical bout.

Khatlon region’s Shabnam Sattorova survived her tough quarter-final against Dushanbe’s Parvina Jafarova but following that she worked better and defeated Madina Toshmatova and Gulrez Boboyeva at the featherweight (57kg). Malika Nozimova controlled all of her contests at the lightweight (60kg) including the final against Suman Khudoyberdiyeva which she won by RSC.  

Khatlon region’s Junior National Champion 17-year-old Fayzullo Sharoati moved up to the light welterweight (64kg) and following her close success over Nigora Saidova, she suffered a surprise loss to Shirinmo Ashurova. Shukrona Musoyeva won two contests out of her three by split RSC in Kulob including her final over Shukrona Kurbonova in the final of the welterweight (69kg).
