Kazakhstan’s top team arrived to the venue of the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament

Kazakhstan arrived to the venue of the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament with eleven boxers and nine coaches. Among Kazakhstan’s best boxers, Saken Bibossynov, Serik Temirzhanov, Nurbek Oralbay, Aibek Oralbay and Aslanbek Shymbergenov also will represent the Central Asian boxing power in the event.

Following the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships, the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament is the next highlight in the Asian continent. Next to the Asian teams, there will be participants from the European, Oceanian and African continents too in the Thailand Open.

The individual gold medallists will earn 2000 USD, the silver medallists 1000 USD while the bronze medallists each 500 USD in the new edition of the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament. There are additional money prizes for the best boxer of the tournament and the best team of the competition.

Kazakhstan’s elite head coach Mr. Kairat Satzhanov divided their teams, some of the boxers attend at the Belgrade Winner Tournament in Serbia, and the stars received the right to compete at the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament. Further experienced coaches joined to the team as former head coach Mr. Myrzagali Aitzhanov, Mr. Askar Yerkebayev, Mr. Maksat Baktybazarov, Mr. Azamat Makazhanov and others.

The Kazakh men’s elite boxing team has been preparing to the upcoming main goal of the year, as the Asian Games which will take place in Hangzhou, China this September. Kazakhstan won two gold and two silver medals at the Belgrade 2021 AIBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships which was their best performance among the elite boxers in the recent two years. The Kazakhs amazed in the main youth events last year at the Kielce AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships and at the Dubai ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships.

Saken Bibossynov claimed bronze medal at the Yekaterinburg 2019 AIBA World Boxing Championships which he changed into gold in the new Belgrade edition less than half year ago. The flyweight star received some rest period from the coaches but returns in the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament. The next ace of the team, Serik Temirzhanov achieved silver in Belgrade and developed his skills step by step in the recent six years since he won the title of the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships.

Sanatali Toltayev was ASBC Asian Youth Champion in 2017 and he has now experiences in the elite age group therefore he could be Kazakhstan’s strong weapon at the Thailand Open too. Aslanbek Shymbergenov was silver medallist at the Jakarta 2018 Asian Games and he plans to change that into gold in the upcoming edition. The Oralbay twin brothers, Nurbek and Aibek were one of the best youth boxers in 2018 and they have now more than three years of elite experiences as well.

Sanzhar Tashkenbay is a high hope in Kazakhstan, the 18-year-old flyweight talent is AIBA Youth World Champion and joined to the elite national team this January. Sagyndyk Togambay won three ASBC Asian titles as junior and youth and he is now a promising boxer at the heavyweight. Timur Nurseitov and ASBC Asian Youth Champion Ayatulla Takizhanov will represent Kazakhstan at the middleweight, while newcomer Sultan Mussinov can show his excellent technical skills in Phuket.
