Jordan Boxing Association runs a National Training Camp with their best boxers including the quota holders

The Jordan Boxing Association worked hard in the recent months to keep their best boxers in top conditions. Their elite boxers returned to their national training schedule still on June and their training program has been running according to the schedule of the coaches. Following the physical preparations, the boxers do sparring and many technical trainings to regain their best forms.

Jordan’s best boxers train in their capital city in Amman which hosted the 2013 edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships. That continental event was a real breakthrough for Jordan and a superb motivation for their boxers to increase their level.

Mr. Omar Almajali and Mr. Andriy Proskurnin prepared the team well to the 2019 and 2020 events which delivered superb successes for the country which began at the Bangkok ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships.

Jordan hosted the Asian & Oceanian Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event in Amman this March and the team exceeded all of the previous expectations. Jordan earned five spots for the Tokyo Olympic Games which is the best ever performance of the country. Jordan had two qualified boxers for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and both of them can prepare to their next event.

Zeyad Eshaish claimed bronze medal at the Jakarta 2018 Asian Games but his developing skills were enough to win the welterweight (69kg) at the Asian & Oceanian Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event on home soil. His elder brother Hussein Iashaish and Obada Al-Kasbeh can prepare to their second Olympic Games and both are working hard in their training camp to show their very best in the upcoming events.

Veteran Mohammad Al-Wadi and returning boxer Odai Riad Al-Hindawi felt the support of the home fans in Amman which increased their level and motivations. Both boxers were involved to all of the national training programs to develop their tactical skills.

The management of Jordan Boxing Association is planning to launch also courses in the upcoming period. The next Jordan National Championships will be held in the country soon and their decision makers believe that they can host all of the national events for each age group in 2020.
