Strong Japanese delegation plans to win gold in the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships

The Japanese boxers proved great performance in the 2015 ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan last June and several of those talents were also successful in their selection competition for the upcoming ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in Fukushima as well.
The winners of the Japanese High School Championships received the right to box in the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships which will be held in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan next week. Japan will be the host of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games therefore their young talents could be making a new successful step in the road to the host Olympics.
Japan claimed two silver and two bronze medals in the 2013 ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in Subic Bay, Philippines and one bronze in Bangkok one year later therefore the Eastern Asian country and its youth team is planning to get at least one title in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan.
ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships bronze medallist Keisuke Matsumoto is only 16 but his skills were enough to beat his main local rival at the Light Flyweight class (49 kg) AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships quarter-finalist titleholder Takumi Tamura in Fukushima therefore he will be there in Pavlodar with great expectations.
Hayato Tsutsumi attended in the AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships and also in the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships in Tashkent last year therefore he will have experiences in Pavlodar in such a big tournaments. The 16-year-old Flyweight class (52 kg) boxer is also a medal hopeful in Pavlodar.
ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships silver medallist Taiga Imanaga proved top performance this year defeated all of his rivals and has got chance to beat also strong opponents at the Bantamweight class (56 kg) in Pavlodar. Miyazaki-based 18-year-old Lightweight class (60 kg) boxer Reo Saito won national titles in 2015 and in 2016 as well but the upcoming ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships will be his first main international event out of Japan.
ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships silver medallist Issei Aramoto is also a boxer who was born in 1999 and spending his first year in the youth age group but he is a top Light Welterweight class (64 kg) athlete with a lot of experiences. The team still contains experienced Zen Kuroyanagi at the Welterweight class (69 kg) and Natsu Shinjo at the Middleweight class (75 kg).
