Iran registered 12 boxers to the ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships

The Iranian Boxing Federation will be sending 12-strong team to the historical first edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships to Kuwait City following their registrations to the event. The Iranians are aiming for medals in the new ASBC event which will be the international debut of their talented youngsters.
The Asian Boxing Confederation’s new event the ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships will be held in Kuwait City on August 1-9. The competition period of the ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships is August 2-8. Kuwait City is the capital and the largest city of Kuwait and wait for the participants with several attractions.
Boxers who were born in 2005 and in 2006 are eligible to attend in the ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships in Kuwait City. The ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships is scheduled to be held in fourteen different categories in Kuwait City from the 35kg weight class where the minimum will be 33kg. The official weight classes are as follows: 33-35kg, 37kg, 40kg, 43kg, 46kg, 49kg, 52kg, 55kg, 58kg, 61kg, 64kg, 67kg, 70kg and +70kg.
The last edition of the Iranian Schoolboys National Championships was held in the city of Zahedan where record number of young talents attended for the medals in 18 different weight categories. The competition was held in Baluchestan Province of Iran and our sport returned to the region after previous national events. The competition was taking place with the participation of 261 young men boxers.
Nine different teams claimed at least one gold medal in the Iranian Schoolboys National Championship. The Sistan & Baluchestan province won the team rankings with their six gold medals just ahead Gilan and Kordestan. Further boxers from the squads of Mazandaran, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Boushehr, Hamadan and Azerbaijan Sharghi also won at least one gold medal in the Iranian Schoolboys National Championships.
