Hero of Day4 in Bangkok – Japan’s Sora Tanaka

The Asian Boxing Confederation’s new project the Hero of the Day will be published after each competition day during the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships. Following Mongolia’s super talented Mungunsaran Balsan, Jordan’s No.1 Bader Osman Majed Samreen and Thailand’s Panpatchara Somnuek the fourth winner is Japan’s ASBC Asian Junior Champion Sora Tanaka.
Japan’s new sensation Sora Tanaka was born in Kawasaki City on June 9 in 2001 and began boxing incredibly early at the age of 3 in 2004. Japan’s new sensation was gold medallist in the Puerto Princesa 2017 ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships where he won also the Best Boxer Trophy.
The Japanese boxer joined to the youth age group this January and following his title in their High School National Selection Tournament he did brilliant job against Chinese Taipei’s Hung Yu Sheng on Day 4 and the referee stopped their unequal contest in the quarter-finals of the men’s light welterweight (64kg) in Bangkok.
