Astana Arlans Kazakhstan has got advantage after the first leg of the WSB Semi-finals

Two-time WSB Team Champion Astana Arlans Kazakhstan defeated the Russia’s Patriot Boxing Team in the Quarter-finals and advanced to the Semi-finals stage of the Play-off two weeks ago. The Kazakh franchise continued its amazing winning path in Season VII and defeated British Lionhearts 4-1 in the first leg of their Semi-finals in Kostanay.

Two-time WSB Team Champion Astana Arlans Kazakhstan won seven WSB matches out of their eight previous encounters in Season VII. Following their perfect performance against the Russian franchise in the first phase of the Play-off, Astana Arlans Kazakhstan was able to beat the tough British Lionhearts 4-1 in Kostanay. The British squad eliminated Astana Arlans Kazakhstan in Season VI therefore the host franchise did a small revenge in Kostanay.
ASBC Asian Champion Temirtas Zhussupov had tough opponents in the current Season VII but he was so concentrated and motivated against Kiaran MacDonald in their light flyweight (49kg) bout which was a perfect opening for Astana Arlans Kazakhstan. Incheon 2014 Asian Games winner Ilyas Suleimenov delivered his best Season VII performance in Kostanay therefore his opponent’s ringside abandoned their unequal contest.
Astana Arlans Kazakhstan’s new light welterweight (64kg) sensation Dilmurat Mizhitov controlled the whole bout against British Lionhearts’ Conor Loftus who was unbeaten before the contest in the WSB. Following Mizhitov’s great success, their middleweight (75kg) star Abilkhan Amankul was too strong for British Lionhearts’ US boxer Nikita Ababiy. After four Kazakh triumphs British Lionhearts’ New Zealander David Nyika defeated Astana Arlans Kazakhstan’s Anton Pinchuk at the heavyweight (91kg).
