Five Asian boxers are the current leaders in the AIBA World Ranking

Five Asian boxers are in top positions in the newly launched AIBA World Ranking, three of them are from Kazakhstan, one from Thailand and one from China. The International Boxing Association (AIBA) introduced its new World Ranking before the Qualification Events and our continent’s best boxers are among the top athletes in the new list.
Among the Asian nations Kazakhstan, China, Thailand, Korea, Philippines, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and India have got boxers in the Top 3 of the new AIBA World Ranking. The International Boxing Association ranked the boxers based on their performance in the recent years in ten women and ten men weight classes.
The Asian women boxers are among the top of the world and two of our stars ranked No.1 in the current AIBA World Ranking. Kazakhstan’s first AIBA Women’s World Champion Nazym Kyzaybay is the No.1 at the Light Flyweight class (48 kg) but since then she moved up to the Olympic Flyweight class (51 kg). China’s Yang Xiaoli is the current AIBA Women’s World Champion and ASBC Asian Women’s Champion at the Light Heavyweight class (81 kg) therefore she ranked also the first in her category .
Philippines’ AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships silver medallist Nesthy Petecio is No.2 in her weight class while China’s Incheon 2014 Asian Games winner Yin Junhua is in the second place just behind Ireland’s five-times AIBA Women’s World Champion Katie Taylor. India’s AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships silver medallist Saweety Boora ranked as second behind Yang Xiaoli at the Light Heavyweight class (81 kg).
China’s Middleweight class (75 kg) star Li Qian, India’s AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships silver medallist Sarjubala Shamjetsabam Devi, Korea’s AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships bronze medallist veteran Shim Hui Jeong and Kazakhstan’s powerful Lazzat Kungeybayeva all ranked No.3 in their weight classes.
Three Asian men boxers are the current leader of their weight classes in the newly launched AIBA World Ranking. Thailand’s current Asian Games winner and ASBC Asian Champion Wuttichai Masuk is the leader of the Light Welterweight class (64 kg) while Kazakhstan’s two stars such as AIBA World Champion Daniyar Yeleussinov and two-time AIBA World Boxing Championships silver medallist Ivan Dychko are also ranked No.1.
Mongolia’s best boxer defending Asian Games winner and ASBC Asian Champion Dorjnyambuu Otgondalai is No.2 at the Lightweight class (60 kg) while Kazakhstan’s London 2012 Olympic Games silver medallist Adilbek Niyazymbetov is also in the second position at the Light Heavyweight class (81 kg).
The Light Flyweight class (49 kg) is traditionally strong in the Asian continent where Philippines’ new sensation Rogen Ladon is No.3. Uzbekistan’s AIBA World Boxing Championships silver medallist Murodjon Akhmadaliev is and his teammate super talented Bektemir Melikuziev, who lost only one close bout in 2015, both ranked No.3 in their weight categories. There are a lot of further Asian boxers in the Top 10 and Jordan has got also boxer among the best boxer Hussein Iashaish is No.10 in the Super Heavyweight class (+91 kg).
