ASBC President Serik Konakbayev opened the Turkmenistan National Championships in Ashgabat

President of the Asian Boxing Confederation and AIBA Vice-President Mr. Serik Konakbayev is visiting the Turkmenistan Elite National Boxing Championships in Ashgabat and opened the competition with a welcome speech.
The Turkmenistan Elite National Championships is holding for their talents in the capital city in Ashgabat which hosted the 5th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games last September. The President of the Turkmenistan Boxing Federation Mr. Alen Shyhyyev invited Mr. Serik Konakbayev and Russian boxing stars as Dennis Lebedev, Oleg Saitov and Oleg Taktarov in to the Turkmenistan National Boxing Championships.
The head coach of the Turkmen national team Mr. Aleksandr Lebziak is supporting their boxers since March 2017 and his work has already paid off in the recent months. The former Russian head coach led the Turkmen national squad in the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku where their Arslanbek Achilov won the gold medal at the light heavyweight (81kg).
In the opening contest of the whole competition Bayramkhan Permanov of Ashgabat had to meet with Batyr Orazmyradov of Mary at the bantamweight (56kg). The 20-year-old Permanov, who competed in several age groups at the ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships, showed different level of boxing and his opponent’s ringside abandoned their unequal contest.
Muhammet Berdibayev of Ashgabat was bronze medallist in the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in Pavlodar two years ago and silver in the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships in Shymkent in 2013. The strong lightweight (60kg) boxer used the right tactic against their National Champion Sunnet Annaseidov and Berdibayev advanced to the next round beating his top rival.
Ashgabat’s Shokhrat Durdiyev claimed also several medals in the national events in Turkmenistan at the lightweight (60kg) and he is aiming for a place in their squad. The 24-year-old boxer was not enough shape in the first round against Yunus Dovletov but he was able to comeback in time and defeated his rival on Day1.
ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships bronze medallist Muhammetmyrat Sahedov won their National Championships and National Cup in the recent one year and the 20-year-old boxer showed his strength in the first competition day. Sahedov, whose father is an experienced R&J in the international competitions, launched lethal punches when he met with National Cup winner Kerim Esenmuradov and knocked out his rival in his debuting contest. In the same category Sahedov’s main rival Timur Tajimov of Dashoguz defeated Shokhrukh Saripov by unanimous decision.
Rasul Yuldashev of Dashoguz competed in his first ever international tournament in 2003 when he was a cadet boxer therefore he has got high number of bouts and experiences. Yuldashev is trying to regain his place in their national squad and looked confident against Serdar Hudayberdiyev in his debuting bout at the middleweight (75kg).
Baky Toychiyev of Ashgabat competed in the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku and opened his campaign in the national event with a strong performance, defeated Gurbandurdy Gummysov of Dashoguz in the first bout of the super heavyweight (+91kg). Atajan Nurgeldiyev and National Cup silver medallist Tejen Hommadov both advanced to the next stage in the highest weight class.
