ASBC President Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira congratulates to the new Vice-President of the Iranian Boxing Federation Mr. Seyed Ebrahim Moosavi

ASBC President Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira of Thailand and the whole management of the Asian Boxing Confederation congratulate to the newly elected Vice-President of the Iranian Boxing Federation, Mr. Seyed Ebrahim Moosavi.

The Iranian Boxing Federation’s Vice-Presidential election was held in the Olympic Boxing Academy Building of Iran in Tehran today. The Vice-Presidential election was part of the Iranian Boxing Federation’s Annual General Assembly and Mr. Seyed Ebrahim Moosavi received all of the 41 votes with full majority.

Mr. Seyed Ebrahim Moosavi was member of the Iranian boxing team at the Istanbul 1994 Junior World Boxing Championships and he was involved to the elite national squad one year later at the age of 19. He competed for Iran at the light middleweight (71kg) in the 1995 Asian Boxing Championships in Tashkent and he participated at the light heavyweight (81kg) in the Kuala Lumpur 1997 Asian Boxing Championships.

He claimed bronze medal at the 1998 King’s Cup in Thailand and he achieved his career highlight, a bronze at the 1998 World Cup which was held in Beijing. Mr. Mousavi competed at the Bangkok 1998 Asian Games and the qualification events of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. He is one of the best Construction Designers in Iran and he has plenty of experience from various areas.

The Presidential election of the Iranian Boxing Federation was held in building of the Iranian National Olympic Committee in Tehran a few weeks ago. Mr. Rohollah Hosseini received all of the 42 votes during the election and will serve the Iranian Boxing Federation as President in the upcoming four years. The new Vice-President, another former national boxer, Mr. Seyed Ebrahim Moosavi, will support him Mr. Hosseini in the upcoming terms.
