ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba wishes Happy New Year to the whole Asian Boxing Family

The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Anas Alotaiba, furthermore the whole ASBC Management wish Happy New Year, happiness, prosperity and strong health to all of the Asian boxing family, friends, boxers, coaches, officials, referees and judges, media members, followers and stakeholders.

The years of 2020 and also 2021 were tough and delivered serious challenges for the whole Asian Boxing Family during the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite of these hard circumstances, the National Federations in each of the Asian region, arranged their training camps, educational programs, some international competitions and various National Championships for several age groups in 2021.  

The management of the Asian Boxing Confederation arranged the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on May 2021 which was the big comeback for our continent during the pandemic. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and India have done impressive performance our elite competition while Mongolia was the big sensation in the Dubai edition.

The boxing event of the Tokyo Olympic Games also delivered successes for our Asian boxers where Japan, Uzbekistan, Philippines, China, Kazakhstan, Chinese Taipei, India and Thailand all achieved medals. Following the Tokyo Olympic Games, the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships was the next big competition in our continent. The Asian continent was one of the leaders also in the AIBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.

ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba believes in the hard work of the Asian National Federations and the developments of our sport. The management of the Asian Boxing Confederations scheduled the 2022 ASBC Boxing Championships in several age groups to get chance to all of the boxers next year. The first competition will be the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in January 20-30. The ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be held in Amman, Jordan from February 27 until March 15 as the second big competition in 2022.
