ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba had important discussions with the President of the Bahrain Boxing Federation Mr. Yousif Al Kooheji in Dubai

The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Anas Alotaiba met with the President of the Bahrain Boxing Federation Mr. Yousif Al Kooheji to discuss several important matters in the wonderful city of Dubai.

the Secretary General of the UAE Boxing Federation Mr. Hassan Al Hammadi, The Executive Director of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Ali Salameh and the Administrative Director of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Bassam Ghanem all attended in the negotiations in Dubai.

The new edition of the ASBC Asian Women’s and Men’s Elite Boxing Championships will be held in India in May 21-31 which was confirmed earlier this week. The continental event will be one of the returns for many of the Asian elite boxers during the Covid-19 pandemic including the Gulf regions countries.

The main discussion took place about the upcoming ASBC Asian Schoolgirls and Schoolboys Boxing Championships. The competition will be held in Bahrain and could be the first ever historical edition for the schoolgirls. Kuwait City hosted the first edition of the ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships in 2019 and the new competition for the 2007-2008 born boxers is scheduled later this year.

The joint cooperation between the United Arab Emirates Boxing Federation and Bahrain Boxing Federation was also one of the key points of the discussions. The upcoming Gulf Countries boxing events are scheduled in the negotiations to develop the region’s sport life.
