ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba and the whole management send their sincere condolences to the head coach of the Iranian national team Mr. Alireza Esteki who lost his father

The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation and Vice-President of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Mr. Anas Alotaiba, furthermore the whole ASBC management are sending their sincere condolences to the Iran’s head coach Mr. Alireza Esteki’s family following his father passed away at the age of 91.

As a boxer, Mr. Alireza Esteki achieved silver medal at the super heavyweight (+91kg) in the Seremban 2002 Asian Boxing Championships where he lost to only Uzbekistan’s Olympic Games bronze medallist Rustam Saidov in the final of the heaviest weight class.

As a head coach of the national team, Mr. Alireza Esteki was in the ringside at the Asian & Oceanian Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event in Amman where Iran earned two quota places for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games. The 45-year-old Esteki is now the head coach of the Iranian elite national team and spent a lot of time in training camps.

Mr. Esteki lost his mother Mrs. Molook Alirad at the age of 81 two months ago and following that tragedy, his father also passed away. 

May his soul will rest in eternal peace in Iran.
