ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba and the whole ASBC management are sending their sincere condolences to Mr. Zakir Safiullin’s family

The President of the Asian Boxing Confederation and Vice-President of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Mr. Anas Alotaiba, furthermore and the whole ASBC management are sending their sincere condolences to Kazakhstan’s Zakir Safiullin’s family following her mother Mrs. Guzal Safiullina passed away at the age of 58 due to serious heart problems.

Mrs. Guzal Safiullina was born in the Kazakh SSR of the Soviet Union on June 25 in 1962 and supported his son’s impressive boxing career from the very beginnings. Zakir Safiullin is now 34, a veteran boxer who joined to the international stage in 2007 when he won the Duisenkul Shopokov Memorial Tournament.

Following his impressive record at the World Series of Boxing, Safiullin claimed silver medal in the Bangkok 2015 ASBC Asian Boxing Championships. He repeated his continental performance and got a second silver medal at the Bangkok 2019 ASBC Asian Boxing Championships. Safiullin qualified already for the Tokyo Olympic Games through the Asian & Oceanian Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event. May her soul will rest in peace in Kazakhstan.
